TRANSLATION PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Remote – South America
Job Purpose
A Project Manager coordinates projects as efficiently as possible to ensure client and provider retention, satisfaction, and repeat business. A Project Manager is our primary point of contact for our clients and manages a variety of project types (such as documentation, web and AV localization, and to a lesser extent initially interpreter scheduling). This Project Manager must be proactive, able to work independently with guidance, willing to think outside the box and challenge the status quo and be able to handle changing priorities effectively with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will ensure that project teams understand the scope, complexity and expectations of all assignments, and that the clients are regularly informed on the progress and financial status of their projects.

Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of documents in need of translation.
- Delivery of projects that meet or exceed client expectations and satisfy target profit margins.
- Mediate between client and provider.
- Analysis of files using translation memory tools.
- Compiling estimates and proposals for new or existing clients.
- Adhering to Green Linguistics’ quality project workflow processes.
- Close financial monitoring and control of projects through budgets, update orders to facilitate timely invoicing.
- Strategic project planning including best methodologies, processes, and risk assessments.
- Accurate documentation and filing of all project-related materials.
- Identification and development of project/process improvement opportunities.
- Provide clear and consistent communication with strong attention to service to clients and providers alike.
- Address any project issues and handle project escalations.
- Collaborate with other project managers and administrators to keep everyone informed.
- Monitoring and mentoring of any assigned potential Project Coordinators.
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Customer service experience
- Proactive and independent
- Strong organizational skills
- Ambitious with a desire to learn and progress
- Analytical and organized problem-solving abilities
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment and work-related tools.
Not required but preferred:
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, html, xml)
- Familiar with CAT tools (including translation memories, content management, and glossary and file management tools)
- Localization knowledge involving all aspects of language solutions – translation, interpreting, desktop publishing, web localization, etc.
